Sierra/Engine sees a ghost

US distributor Sierra/Engine has acquired international distribution rights to a supernatural reality series starring Cheaters’ Joey Greco.

Ghostbreakers (18x30′) sees Greco visit haunted spots in North America with a team of specialists, following up on spooky claims of supernatural sightings.

Chris Philip of Sierra/Engine said: “This genre has travelled well internationally and now with this new spin and Joey Greco hosting, we are excited to offer Ghostbreakers on a global scale.”

The series, Created by Gabriel Horn and Benjamin Wilbanks, is produced by New Palace Films and Slow Children at Play.

This deal continues Sierra/Engine’s push into television, after it picked up the US rights to Korean drama series Cruel Temptation last week.

Chris Philip, CEO de Sierra/Engine Television, anunció la adquisición de los derechos de distribución internacional de la serie de reality Ghostbreakers (18x30’), protagonizada por Joey Greco (Cheaters).

Ghostbreakers mezcla el suspenso de las cacerías de fantasmas con humor desternillante. Visitando los lugares más lúgubres y embrujados de Norteamérica, Greco lidera a un equipo de valientes especialistas que responden a las llamadas de personas desesperadas con problemas supernaturales

A Greco lo acompañan Gabriel, el experto en electrónica; Shanda la espiritista y Massey, el protector. Los cuatro presentan una serie de aventura que combina el terror y la comedia que la audiencia debe ver para poder creer.

“Este género ha viajado bien internacionalmente y ahora con este nuevo giro y con Joey Greco como anfitrión, estamos emocionados de ofrecer Ghostbreakers a nivel global” destacó Philip.

La serie es producida por New Palace Films y Slow Children at Play. Fue creada por Gabriel Horn y Benjamin Wilbanks. Sierra/Engine estará ofreciendo la serie de media hora a los compradores internacionales al igual que a los canales de TV abierta y paga de EE UU durante el próximo Natpe.

Producer and distributor Sierra/Engine has taken international rights to paranormal reality series Ghostbreakers.The show stars Joey Greco (Cheaters) as he leads a team of specialists taking calls from people in conflict with supernatural forces.

Created by Gabriel Horn and Benjamin Wilbanks, the series is produced by New Palace Films and Slow Children at Play.

Sierra/Engine’s Chris Philip said “This genre has traveled well internationally and now with this new spin and Joey Greco hosting, we are excited to offer Ghostbreakers on a global scale.”

The deal was brought to Sierra/Engine by Stu Tenzer’s Coast Road Media, Mike Krasney of Media Dynamite Entertainment and Dawn Friedman.
